One or two places for single evenings still available SOFT FRUIT AND FRUIT TREES IN THE GARDEN Tutor: Kathy Marsh A complete course on fruit growing for amateurs covering choosing, planting, pruning and propagating – and even a few recipes. Date: Saturday and Sunday, November 7th and 8th Time:10am - 4pm Cost: €120 for both or €75 per day if booked individually (lunch included). Soft fruit will be covered on the Saturday and Fruit Trees on the Sunday. GROW IT YOURSELF Course tutors Kathy Marsh and Geraldine O'Toole. A one day course at an affordable price to get you started on producing tasty, cheap and nutritious organic vegetables in even the smallest garden Date: Saturday November 14th. Time 10am - 4pm. Cost €35. Please note that lunch is not provided. Our cafe will be open providing delicious vegetarian food or you can bring your own and eat it at our garden picnic tables. If you want to book lunch please ask when you book the course. WINTER SOLSTICE With Emer Dolphin The Winter Solstice, the longest night and the shortest day of the year, is a special time; a turning point in the cycle of the Earth’s path, a turning point in the relationship of dark and light and a turning point in the wheel of our own lives as we close one calendar year and look forward to beginning a new one. This workshop will provide a simple, deep space to reflect on what we want to let go on in our lives that no longer serves us, and what we wish to call in to nurture us in the coming months. Celebrating the Winter Solstice in community is a very ancient tradition in Ireland. It links us to our ancestral past. It aligns us with the rhythms of nature and allows us to join with many other traditions and cultures worldwide that mark this special day. It’s also great to slow down, even for an hour or two at this very busy time! Date: Monday, December 21st, Time: 7pm - 9.30pm Cost: €15 Family €30 Build your own gardening course Avail of our garden team's experience! This is a custom built day for individuals or small groups (max. 5 people) to come to Sonairte for hands-on experiences in an area of your interest. The cost will depend on the duration of the course and will be agreed on individually.
